Bringing the seventies back to life.
For project KAPEL, a 1970s home in Hombeek, surrounded by greenery, is extended with a contemporary addition.
The new extension opens the house towards the garden and creates a spacious living environment with a large double-height void above the dining table. This visually connects the ground floor with the upper level, where an open home office provides a comfortable workspace while remaining connected to the living areas below.
A contemporary conversation pit brings the distinctive spirit of the seventies back to life, creating an intimate space within the open architecture.
The result is a home where the original character, its green surroundings and a modern way of living come together naturally.
